Accidents & Disease Claims

Accidents can happen everyday, on roads and footpaths, at work, at home, in schools and public places. Victims often sustain injuries and financial losses through negligence of others.

Industrial disease happens less often than accidents but can have serious effects when they occur upon health, wage earning and family. Exposure to asbestos, coal dust, sensitizing chemicals and noisy machines all cause disease and illness that can often bring entitlement to claims.

Typical cases undertaken include:

  • Road Traffic Accidents – for drivers, motorcyclists, cyclists, passengers or pedestrians. If the negligent driver is not insured or untraceable, we can help with their claim to the Motor Insurers’ Bureau.
  • Accidents at Work – EEC Law is increasingly important in this area.
  • Slipping and Tripping – on the public highway or someone’s premises: the Local Authority is responsible for maintaining public highways and footpaths to make sure they are reasonable safe.
  • Fatal Accidents – claims for widows/widowers and dependants.
  • Sports Injuries – caused by the use of defective equipment or surfaces.
  • Clinical and Dental Negligence – incorrect drugs or treatment or an operation that goes wrong.
  • Industrial Diseases such as Asbestosis and Mesothelioma – in the Stroud Valleys, asbestos related diseases are increasingly prevalent as a result of certain factories opening in the area in the ‘50s and ‘60s. We have successfully dealt with this type of claim on behalf of clients.
  • Occupational Diseases – such as RSI and deafness.
